A note and Welcome from "Rev"

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the website of Central College Church. Although you may not be able to sense fully the contagious spirit of our fellowship by means of this electronic media, I believe that you can begin to sense some of the excitement and wonderful opportunities that are available for you and your family in the life and fellowship of Central College Church.

It has been my privilege to be pastor since the fall of 1958. There have been many changes in program and facilities. However, the strong and joyful commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ has never wavered. One of the exciting aspects for me is the fact that there has never been a Sunday since the church was established in April 1842 when there has not been a worship service on a Sunday morning. Yes, there were times when there were only a handful of faithful present to worship God. But those faithful planted the seeds. The church has continued to grow. It is a dynamic fellowship with a door opened to everyone and a warm invitation for you to become part of our shared ministry.

On behalf of all of the staff at the church, on behalf of all of the members and friends who regularly worship and participate in study, mission, service, and fellowship, and on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ, I invite you to explore this website. Even more, I invite you to come and visit with us, worship on Sunday morning, and become actively involved in the life and ministry of Central College Church.

In His name,
Dr. Richard D. Ellsworth
